Tsunami

Pronounced as soo-nah-mee, is a series of water waves caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of water.

Today, at 1:46 pm, a magnitude 8.9 earthquake hit Honshu, Japan, thereby triggering a 13-ft tsunami.

I worry much because I have friends in Japan. I was able to get in touch with my lady friend through Facebook. Thank God, she and her son are safe. But she hasn’t heard from her husband yet as he is in Tokyo, and the signals are down. Currently they have no means of communication.

Hopefully, her husband will be home anytime now.
